About Us
The 5K Beer Run Moore or Less is a Run/Walk through the streets of Sherwood, WI with the proceeds going to pancreatic cancer research through The Lustgarten Foundation. We started our event out of a need to do something after Beth Moore's diagnosis with pancreatic cancer and after learning that only 2% of the American Cancer Society's funds focused on pancreatic cancer research. Co-workers Craig and Mike supported each other as they both lost parents to pancreatic cancer. Because pancreatic cancer took our loved ones so quickly we wanted an event that would funnel our proceeds directly towards pancreatic cancer research with the hope of finding successful treatments and ultimately a cure for not only pancreatic cancer but ALL cancers.
The event is also meant to be one that is fun and family focused, matching the personalities of the run/walk's namesakes: Beth Moore and Thomas Lesselyong (Moore or Less). We also hope the event will also be one that families can feel hopeful and supported as they honor those taken by pancreatic cancer or care for those currently fighting.

Beth Moore
Beth lived life with Finnish SISU. She loved her family, church friends, quilting, and relaxing at "Camp" in the U.P. where she grew up. After beating breast cancer Beth was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April of 2010. She lost her battle three months later in July of 2010. She was an incredible woman who is missed daily by her family and friends. We hope to fight pancreatic cancer with the same SISU that Beth lived her life with.

Tom Lesselyong
Tom was a man who valued his family, God, and Country. He was a dedicated and loyal husband, father, and friend. As a young man he volunteered for the USMC, where he was a decorated veteran of the Korean War. He served on the Board of Directors for the United Way for several years and served as president for in 1987. He was an officer and district director of the Wisconsin Association of Nursing Homes and a partner in the development of Parkside Care Center in Little Chute, WI. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing, and trapping. Tom was a fighter from his humble beginnings, through his time in the Corps, culminating with his short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. No matter what the fight, he fought with dignity, honor, and unbridled determination.
The SISU Group, Inc. defines SISU as "a special strength and persistent determination and resolve to continue and overcome in the moment of adversity…an almost magical quality, a combination of stamina, perseverance, courage, and determination held in reserve for hard times."
